"I'm A DJ"

Years ago I stopped asking foreigners what their job was. This is because the answer was always the same no matter who I asked, man, woman, child, elephant..."I'm a DJ. Well I teach during the day, but really I'm a DJ. You should come watch me spin some time." Ugh!

It's cool that they have a job they like and are able to come to Taiwan and follow their dream. I can actually respect that a lot. And if anything it's more indicative of the fact that Taiwanese clubs will give a job to anybody if they are a foreigner. But my goodness, every foreigner says that and they all say it in that same kind of smug way that makes you think that if you murdered them, you probably wouldn't get convicted of the crime.

Granted it might seem like I'm over reacting, but if you have ever met anybody who says they are a DJ, you know what I mean. And just take that and multiply it by a thousand people.

Today's picture, is of a record that my friend has. He has a record player because he feels it has a much "warmer" sound. "But then why not take a picture of a record player?" you ask. Well the record player was stashed away in a box. Then again we shouldn't tease him as because of him I was able to write this post. As a few months ago I wanted to write about this topic, but a friend teased me by asking "how in the world are you going to get a picture relating to a DJ?"
