I reckon Rhoda had her arms in the air long before she reached ground level. She was very chuffed with herself - and I was very relieved.
All the information on the Rim Walk says to allow 3-4 hrs for the walk. It took us just over 5 hrs - and 330 photos.
It was harder for me sorting through the 330 photos and deciding which ones to post than it was doing the walk. Normally when you take so many photos of a singe topic, you can immediately discard half of them as rubbish, then the so-so ones and then you arrive a a small subset to work with. But it is such a photogenic environment, it is almost impossible to take a bad shot and just about every one of them was 365 worthy and I spent ages arguing with myself about which ones to use.
I hope you have enjoyed the Rim Walk at Kings Canyon. Put it on your bucket list.
The perfect walk ending photo. Yay Rhoda! Perhaps a Kings Canyon Rim Walk photo book is in order! Rhoda can relive the walk when she describes the photos to your friends and family!
I hope you won the argument with yourself :) Congratulations Rhoda - a marvellous accomplishment. And I like Lou Ann's @louannwarren suggestion of a photo book. And yes, it's on my list - I was there in 2004 but we arrived midday and it was stinking hot so decided not in my best interest to walk it - now I know what I missed :) Thanks.
