The Mönchsjoch Hut is about a 1.5km trek through the snow across the top of the glacier.
From where we set out at Jungfraujoch, it rises in elevation about 200m. No wonder we were knackered when we got there. Not bad though for a couple of old farts from Brisbane who are not used to walking in snow.

@cejaanderson It was quite warm Jane. If you look closely at the photo of the hut in the collage from four days ago, you will see that Rhoda is in short sleeves and there are people in the snow sunbaking with their shirts off.
