The Matterhorn from Zermatt

Prepare yourself for Matterhorn overload.

When I retired, we wanted to do something special. Our daughter was living in London at the time so it was going to be something around UK/Europe and after much gnashing of teeth, we decided to hire a car and drive around Switzerland for a couple of weeks. Simple as that.
Once we had decided on Switzerland, there were 3 things I wanted to see; Mont Blanc (it's just over the border in France, The Eiger and the Matterhorn. Anyone would think I had a mountain fetish.

I have nearly this same picture, except everything's white with snow. This place is beautiful no matter the time of year. What I wouldn't give to go back with a digital camera...
