Tappahannock Oak X - One Year Later

Because of our move from Richmond to Virginia Beach, it has been 5 1/2 months since the Missus and I visited our old friend, Tappahannock Oak. Yesterday was the one-year anniversary of my first picture of TO but we had other obligations that prevented us from making what is now a 5 hour round trip to visit it. Our calendar was clear today and we were very happy to see it looking healthy and happy.

The length of the grass in the median strip was a bit of a surprise, though. In the previous nine shots it has never been more than ankle deep. Today it's about 3 feet / 1 meter tall.

The other shots in this series are at:
Tappahannock Oak
and
Tappahannock Oak II
and
Tappahannock Oak III
and
Tappahannock Oak IV - Selfie
and
Tappahannock Oak V
and
Tappahannock Oak VI - Snow Day
and
Tappahannock Oak VII - Check Up
and
Tappahannock Oak VIII - Budding
and
Tappahannock Oak IX - Full Leaf
This is a good series!

It's great looking through all the links looking at how the tree changes with the seasons. It still looks magnificent.
