OCOLOY Day 15: You can change your point of view...

...but what is, is! Yesterday's ruined farm viewed from a different angle.

This image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my post for 1 January and in my profile.

View on black for maximum impact.
It sure looks like you live in a neat area! So pretty!

Beautiful from this side too!

The shapes are more pronounced from this angle, but I prefer yesterday's view with all the ivy and so on.

You've captured the bleakness effectively. Like the contrast between the sky and the buildings and so much texture.

I like the contrasts and pov of this one.

Very much my type of place, when I find a ruin my mind starts to imagine all sorts of scenarios as I'm clicking away. I like the view you got here..

Love the B&W

I'm noticing the long shadows in the grass

Great image, I prefer this angle.

Wonderful way to show that most subjects can be photographed from different angels.

This works very well. Like the clean lines on the roof, the trees against the clouds and the rich, dark portion of sky - red filter?

Love the 'framing', composition and those 2 trees. Fav.

The framing of the deteriorating portion is very well thought

Great lighting, composition, textures

A great SOOC. I'm enjoying what you can do OCOLOY.

@jasperc I'm a bit late in replying to your question - sorry - but yes, I have the X100T set to BWR most of the time although I think the filter effect is fairly subtle. I must find time, sooner rather than later, to set up a test subject with a range of tones and then go through the whole gamut of exposure options to get a better feel for the effects of each setting. Have you done this with your X100S?

@vignouse thanks. No I haven't done this yet but it's a very good idea. Like you I'm gravitating towards the red filter most of the time for that little bit of extra contrast and interest in skies.

I like this view a little bit more. But both are great.
