Admin all morning and a meeting at Rennes all afternoon so not much time for photography until I got home. But then Mitzi gave me the shot that made me smile by wrapping herself up in the coverlet on the sofa and then looking very doubtful as to whether this new-found independence would meet with our approval... it did! I like that the contrasty settings I currently have dialled into the camera left her eyes as dark impenetrable pools.
I like this best viewed on black...
This image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my post for 1 January and in my profile.
@rachelwithey Thanks for commenting Rachel - the OCOLOY part is fairly straightforward... after all, many of us shot for years with one camera and a fixed focal length lens. The SOOC part however is more problematical: partly due to the fact that 365 tends to render images with less contrast and darker than the original and I can't now compensate for that, but mostly because I just miss editing, it's something I love doing.
@vignouse yes I would really miss the editing; I like that creative process and I take a lot of shots knowing I can process them into what I want. I find trying to get that look in camera is much, much harder. You are doing it fantastically well.
She is adorable. What a dear face. I admire your pursuit of your OCOLOY project. I learned a great deal in one month, but I would miss the editing challenges. You do this so well.
