Thank you all for your support and best-wishes over the last few days - feeling a bit better today and managed to get out for an hour this afternoon and take a photo for my project.
This is a simple reflection in the waters of the lake in the valley of "La chambre du loup" - 'The wolf's bedchamber'! What attracted me in particular was the way the small ripples on the surface of the water have made the tree's reflection look like a pointillist painting.
This views nicely on black.
This image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my post for 1 January and in my profile. I'm also tagging this for B&W February
@morgane Tu as raison, il y a une ressemblance entre cette image et son style de peinture et, par hazard, on partage le même anniversaire - le 2 décembre - mais il est né 85 ans avant moi!
When I first saw this on my phone I thought it was a tree and mist, at a weird angle, now I am looking at it on my computer I can see it is a reflection, wonderfully done.
Wild! As I see it, that is: a tree perched on the edge of a cliff hundreds of feet high and you are looking down. Super shot Richard; glad you were feeling well enough to climb all the way up there! Fav
@vignouse -- I missed this one until Friday, but then spent quite a while at the pond on Saturday when the clouds were in a clear spot trying to get a clouds in the water picture. Got some interesting results, though not as dreamily perfect as this one.
Your photo makes me think of the drawings "Georges Seurat "
