Thursday and yesterday I spent around 3 hours each day in the car visiting Auray and St. Cast le Guildo respectively, in search of images for my project. Although I found some shots to post, I didn't take anything that I thought justified the time and effort involved. Today I drove 3 km into the village and took a turn round Paimpont Lake and found a number of images that pleased me... especially this one of my favourite subject.
Worth viewing on black if you can.
This image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my post for 1 January and in my profile. I'm also tagging this for B&W February
@yrhenwr Thanks David... in fact, in the two years that I've been on here, the vast majority of my images have been sourced in the immediate area. That has been through circumstance rather than deliberate planning but perhaps you're right, perhaps I should document my 'doorstep' in a more deliberate way.
That so often happens. I know that I sometimes build up my expectations so much when I go out on purpose that I get nothing that I really like. Im trying to be more relaxed about it, and just take the camera everywhere!
This is such a tranquil shot.
@jgpittenger Thanks for your comment Jane, but as you will have seen from my commentary, this is part of a long-term sooc project so no cropping allowed. That said, I did try framing this in different ways and I have a shot without the leaves in the foreground but I chose this one because I liked them included!
Been there down that. Though I do find that later I sometimes find more I like about the picture. Sometimes my mentor even says I unburied a treasure. Hope you held onto them.
This is such a tranquil shot.
