OCOLOY Day 84: If there are no smokers outside... by vignouse

OCOLOY Day 84: If there are no smokers outside...

...it's either wet or cold - tonight it was both! In a non-sooc world I would clone the shiny drain cover out and crop a bit but given my self-imposed constraints, it is what it is. Actually, I should be grateful that this hand-held image turned out as well as it did, because when I got home I realised that this was taken with the camera's internal 3 stop ND filter activated... doh!

Needs to be viewed on black I think...

This image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.
i quite like the drain cover...great shot Richard...

I like it as is. Drain cover adds perspective as do the receding lights and window

I love the lighting and the details of the building.

lovely night shot... i quite like the sewer cover... it introduces an element of mystery into the image... as in: what is going to crawl out of there?
March 25th, 2016
The clarity for a hand-held shot is amazing. Love the composition. If the sewer cover had been 2 foot nearer to the chairs it would have enhanced the shot (perhaps you could suggest to the council that they move it for beautification purposes LOL) but I don't mind it where it is - it's not detrimental at all.

Very much like the continuing street lights...more good things going on in the distance?

Super lighting in this night shot. Drain cover is fine although if you weren't going for sooc it could be darkened slightly. Fav

This reminds me of Hemingway's A well lighted place. Terribly sad.
