OCOLOY Day 99: Occasional Fence Post 4

You only have yourselves to blame for this... you shouldn't have been so enthusiastic about Post no. 3!

I, as always, encourage you to view this on black...

Again as always, this image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.
Another great post. Love the DOF and leading lines. The ivy is a bonus!

As you say, best on black, and it really is, I love the detail and textures of the post and the ivy.

I've just reviewed your series of 'post' posts. Do you know I think they get better and better? This one and the previous one certainly stand out. A fav for elevating the ordinary to something a little bit special.

This is old and probably not going to be around much longer! Gritty photo!

The sheer variation in this picture is a delight to watch - from the range of grey tones to sharpnes/blur. Really like it a lot.

I like the cleaness of the ivy and the barbed wire as well as the grain and splits in the wooden post.

This post series gets better and better. As an entire eco-system supporting plant and insect life, this one is (another) gem.

Excellent shot sir, like it a lot...I guess you could say I'm pleased that you "posted" this...I'll see myself out...

Marvelous dof, this is an excellent shot.

I am enjoying the post posts. As well as your entire OCOLOY project. I am trying to improve my photography and for the start am trying different things. But I am finding your vast array of photos, all taken with OCOL to be very inspiring. It really impresses upon me the importance of composition and light. So I am going to try to pay more attention to that as I move forward. Thank you!

I like the range of tones and the shallow DOF very much, Richard... no complaints about another post of a post!

Really super on black - been going through your April album trying to learn more about b&w shooting - I'm really fascinated by it and you certainly do it so well. Fav
