Actually, it's not such a bad idea but when this water tower was built, there was no forest. This is another of the relics of the German WW2 camp at Point-Clos. The water tower was decommissioned when the camp was finally closed in 1955 (guarded by the French Air Force at that point) and served for a while more recently as a climbing wall for apprentice climbers.

What I like about these Plont Clos shots is that there is no sense of menace or pain. As the trees grow in beauty and profusion, Nature continues to heal wounds bringing solace, calm and beauty.
Interesting shot. I just finished a book that partially was set in Sainte-Malo during WWII, so of course I had to look it up and see how close it was to some of the shots that you have taken.
