OCOLOY Day 133: Inside Outside...

Thanks for all the interest in yesterday's image: on reflection (no pun intended), what fascinated me most about the image was the lack of any feeling of depth - everything seemed to be on the same plane as the window itself. For example, the window above Mrs S's head is 10 metres from her and 16 metres from where I was standing to take the photo - that distance is not obvious.

I decided to repeat the experiment tonight from the other direction, shooting through that very window, but this time with the lens held tight against the glass to cut out any reflections. This time, as you can see, the image has discernible depth. I don't know what it all means but it was fun and interesting to do ;-))

As always, this image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.

Viewing on black is best I think...
I like this.... a little "busy" but it works.

Interesting experiment. For me I prefer yesterdays shot because it made me think more as I tried to figure out all of the layers and reflections.

I agree with your description of yesterday's shot. I thought that the image made seem like the kitchen was outside. This shot most certainly has depth and definition...well done.

Lots of depth here. Interesting comparison to yesterday's image.

The depth is deep! And the lighting interesting.

I love how the light is making Mrs. S glow. The expression on your dog is great too.

Plenty of depth in this one. I love this too. The dog looks quite bemused.

VML the contrast. VML like not being able to see all our paraphernalia!
