OCOLOY Day 172: Cow Parsley at the Blue Hour! by vignouse

OCOLOY Day 172: Cow Parsley at the Blue Hour!

Busy day today helping to prepare Paimpont Abbey for the 'Saison Culturelle 2016', so no time for photography until this evening. This was taken on my after-dinner walk... in the rain.

As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.
really great, love the moody light

I really like your POV. You may have noticed we call it Queen Anne's Lace (see my photo from yesterday).

VML Nature's calm as the day moves segues from day to night, beautifully captured, particularly the algae/moss...so beautifully luminous.

The way the umbels are spread out makes me think that this not the North American kind of queen anne's lace.. It think it is indeed cow-parsley which I believe (but am too lazy to look up may also be called queen anne's lace in the UK. In any event, I particularly like the presence of the faded one in the middle of the trio

Nicely composed! No cow parsley here in Chicago!

I find this very pleasing and somewhat puzzling - mostly because I had to look at the Photo Details to find out the time of day. Like it a lot Richard.

Perfect lighting - I love the placement of the white flowers in the centre, just below the horizon - and cow parsley is a glorious plant to photograph under any condition
