...at about 10.30pm my daughter remarked that it was still warm outside and quite pleasant so we all decided to take Mitzi for her final walk of the day. About 15 minutes from home the sky suddenly turned rather angry so we turned tail and headed for home - on the way I stopped briefly to photograph this transformer pole, which turned out to be prophetic.
Way before home it started to rain heavens hard and by the time we arrived at the house, we were in the middle of a full-blown electrical storm with some rather dramatic flashes of lightning. Inevitably, being out in the country and at the end of the distribution network, we had a couple of power cuts but I think I got this image uploaded just before the witching hour, in between the cuts!
