OCOLOY Day 183: Deep in the Valley of the River Aff
I took this at dusk this evening under heavy tree cover: I think I achieved the dark, moody ambience I was looking for... but I needed the lens wide open at f/2, ISO3200 and 1/10 sec hand-held.
As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile. And today, at Day 183, is the half-way point. What have I learned so far? I'll give a detailed report later but, briefly, I've learned how to take competent images within the tight parameters of my project. So what will be the emphasis for the second half? To make the transition from taking competent images to making competent images. I fear it will be harder to do than to write about!
I can't end without my usual advisory to view this on black.
And I mustn't end without thanking you all for the tremendous support you have given to this project and me personally... see you in the second half.
This almost perilous looking bridge reminds me of your uncertainty with this project in the earlier stages. This excellent shot, rightly lauded by your peers, affirms your progress.
