OCOLOY Day 190: Silo... framed! by vignouse

OCOLOY Day 190: Silo... framed!

Taken on the same industrial estate where I took my car this morning to have its obligatory bi-annual safety check - this is the site next-door to the garage. There are two silos but the second one is hidden behind the first.

As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.

Equally as usual, I would encourage you to view this on black!
VML the framing of this and how Nature only allows us so much space for such facilities. The silo almost looks attractive!

Going to say hope you passed but I get the feeling you were well prepared, great shot of the ordinary. Hope that does not sound patronising, it was ment as a compliment.

@jack4john Thank you John... I did indeed take your comment as a compliment because that was exactly what I was trying for - to bring out the extraordinary in the ordinary. (The car passed OK but he said I needed to renew the rear brake pads, have the tracking done and replace the front tyres. It won't surprise you to learn that I had already booked the car in to my regular garage to have those things done next week!)

This is the crisp contrasty b&w that made me start following you. Beautifully mundane and interesting!

I can no longer look at 365 images on black... no idea why, it just doesn't work! But I like this anyway... the composition, the contrast in subjects as well as in the processing. Very nice, Richard.
