Have you ever been photographing something and someone sidles up and stands a bit too close to you? After a short pause, you get the first question - "What camera are you using?". You reply, "It's a Nikon." which elicits a sharp intake of breath and a sad shaking of the head. "What lens are you using?" - "It's the kit zoom."... same response, and so it continues.
This is the fishing equivalent - so the fisherman told me later: "What bait are you using?" - "Sweetcorn." - Sharp intake of breath, sad head-shake. "What size hook do you have on?" - "A 12" - even sharper intake of breath and even bigger head-shake. The interrogation stopped when the fisherman caught a decent sized carp!
As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.
Ah, yes. People and their good advice... I usually encounter people who 'have a sister that takes photos too' ... or they have no idea what to do with their expensive camera and would like me to show them some day (that eventually never comes).
