So this is my first offering for 'Square September' which you can find more about here - http://365project.org/discuss/general/28377/square-september Mitzi is not happy as she went for a clip today and unfortunately her regular canine beautician couldn't fit her in before we go away so we found another and despite specifically asking, she has been cut far too short and her sensitive skin is causing her some discomfort.
As usual, in addition to square-september, the image is also SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.
Ah poor thing. She does look a bit mournful. Enjoy your square month. There are particular challenges to composing for a square aspect ratio. I'll follow this with interest.
@vignouse well in truth I'm conflicted. As you know, my interpretation of ocoloy is "no cropping". So I could only join in if I chose to shoot jpg like you and changed the in camera setting to square, as I think you're advising. But I do like manually converting to B&W from raw files... You see I'm not the only one on here who ties himself in knots with self imposed rules! I'll watch you and wait to be inspired...
@jasperc Sorry, I had forgotten that you don't subscribe to my rather masochistic 'rules' that require me to post sooc and in B&W... two thirds of the way through, I thought I needed an extra challenge to stop me from getting sloppy. Yep - masochist is the right word!
It does look rather short - maybe she's feeling the draughts! Put a wee coat on her if you've got one. If you haven't got one, buy one - they look really cute on!
She's far from cold @ 27C! Poor mite will be happier later. We're just off to the Radio Club's Annual BBQ and she'll be doing her winsome act, success guaranteed...whatever the temperature!
Cute pooch. Looks very similar to our two. We don't used "substitute" groomers for our two dogs anymore. Did it once, and they were brutalized.... all but 'naked". I think even the dogs were embarrassed.
