OCOLOY Day 291: Pas un chat! by vignouse

OCOLOY Day 291: Pas un chat!

I had a meeting tonight in Ploërmel - a town some 35km from us: arriving back in Paimpont just after 10.30pm, I found the village dark and deserted... 'pas un chat' as the French say - not even a cat to be seen. The only lights to be seen were of those of the local hotel - 'Le Relais de Brocéliande' - so I photographed that! (This was taken hand-held at 1/8 sec unstabilised and at ISO 3200.)

As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.

Needs to be viewed on black I think...
I really like your B&W night shots. The contrast is terrific and the shots very dramatic.

Great detail for a hand held night shot. Kinda envious of the solitude, no really am.

Wonderful capture. I could almost transport myself there.

At first I thought it was 'no talking' pas de something like chatter! Un chat - a cat. pas de problème! Looks very inviting but the doors are closed!

I've learnt a new French expression, thanks. Impressed with your hand-holding skills (camera, not otherwise!)

Love the reflections in the puddles and the kerbstones leading lines.

It's true what everyone else has said. I endorse all comments.

You work well on the night shift...

Unstabilised? I wouldn't be able to do that without my 5-axis stabilisation.. even then I'm sure that sign wouldn't come out as clear as that.
