OCOLOY Day 336: Nantes-Brest Canal - Montertelot

A very cold but crisp and sunny day so I took a run out on the motorbike and paused at the little village of Montertelot on the Nantes-Brest canal. The low late Autumn sun cast long dark shadows making choosing the right exposure... err, interesting.

As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.

BoB I think!
Lots of interesting details in this well composed shot...great reflections, light...looks great on black

That fringe of branches above contextualizes your vantage point.

VML the church; it looks like a lighthouse with some of the stone in the tower and the church below in relief. Most effective. Reflections, long shadows, leafless trees...it must be Winter.

Wonderful use of light and shadow to create forms, textures and pull
ones eye to the white church. Great tones from black to white.

Very nice. Impressed that the blood was still flowing in your trigger finger after the cold ride!
