Yellowstone Roosevelt Arch by 365karly1

Yellowstone Roosevelt Arch

The beautifully constructed archway was built at the north entrance, which was the first major entrance for Yellowstone.
Construction of the arch began on February 19, 1903, and was completed on August 15, 1903, at a cost of around $10,000.
“For the benefit and enjoyment of the people”. The perfect words of welcome for our first National Park. 😊

Fantastic capture, neat framing and those small arched entranceways compared to the large arched entranceway gives a great sense of scale

that's a dramatic entrance - really monumental - nicely captured framing the park beyond

This shot came out perfectly - much better than mine :) (mine slightly tilted and not enough room to straighten) the darker skies at that hour were perfect - even the puddle of rain made the grass sharper. Nicely balanced.
