The Wallace Monument by 4rky

The Wallace Monument

Taken looking over the fortifications on the North wall of Stirling Castle. In the distance, the tower standing on the Abbey Craig hilltop is an iconic landmark erected to commemorate Sir William Wallace.

I like all the activity in the foreground and the lovely view beyond. The colors of the hills are wonderful.

My great grandmother was a Wallace so. . . the family was sure that William Wallace was one of our forbears. I'm not convinced, but nice to see his monument!
