Technicolor April - Ochre by alia_801

Technicolor April - Ochre

After investigating, I found that ochre is a colour derived from clay. It's one of the earliest pigments used by humans, and comes in a few different shades, but the orange-brown one is the main version. The fire pit we have in the garden seemed like it would have come from natural clays, and is a red-orange-brown colour, so I used it for today's pic :) (Hopefully it doesn't look scarlet or red - there's enough reds this month already!)

Perfect for the theme. The right colour and looks pleasingly antique as well. (I also love this motif.)

I had to research this one too- but learned there is a yellow-ocher, an orange-ocher and a brown ocher! Needless to say, that discovery did not help matters much! hehe Nice capture!
