Very last minute (inspiration is in short supply at the moment), but as my last rainbow attempt didn't turn out as I wanted, I'm having another colour themed month (I thought this might also be fun for those who did colourless Lent, as well as being accessible for those doing selfies). Colours are taken from the song "Joseph's Coat" from the musical Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
Feel free to interpret words however you wish, join in a for a day, a week or a month, and to share your pics here for all to see :)

Hrmmm I must think about this one... the me-March challenge, while fun, really made me have to think a lot! haha Maybe I'll just go out and buy a scarf, or lipstick or ooooh nailpolish! in every color of the rainbow for April :P That could get a bit boring though. I will try to at least hit a few of them!
Wow! I'm very excited for this challenge. Had been reading an article that suggested photographing just one colour alone for a whole day! This challenge is perfect for that! Hopefully manage more as one or two this month ;-)
One of the most fun challenges I ever did was three weeks of color collages. This is so me because I'm all about color. My husband claims living with me is like living in a crayon box
Thanks Alia for coming up with these challenges. You really do a great job. After flash o red feb and me-march I'm probably in need of a photo blob time to shoot whatever takes my fancy. I'd love to have fun with rainbows another time though.
@fullcircle@alia_801 If you just type a color name in google and search images you get a gorgeous screen full of images but i tried mauve and ochre and you sure see some variations
Ok, changed my mind- I'm in for at least a bit of it. Prompted by a complete lack of focus and inspiration! It will be nice to play with colour, and if I do the whole month the calendar will look really cool.
@alia_801 Thanks for putting something together. I had an idea but wasn't able to post it before we left town. I may still do it, but while away decided I just needed to shoot "whatever" for a month. So, I'll be printing out the list and if my "whatever" matches I'll include it on the tag. I'll have to save that other idea for a rainy day!

Well, I'm a day behind to get started, but I might give it a go... I have been struggling this winter and was planning on going "theme free" this month to see how well I could do on my own, but this sounds pretty fascinating and I can still do my own thing. And if it doesn't work with the color of the day I can take another that will. AND I just remembered that one of yesterday's shots does have a tiny bit of red in it... so all is good!
@skstein No need to be an Ace member! Just take your pic for the day, based on your interpretation of the relevant word from the list at the top of this post. Include the tag 'technicolor-april' when you're uploading, and hey presto, you've joined the challenge :) You can share your pics on the thread if you like too!

I love browsing the technicolor-april pages, they are a veritable treasure trove at the en of the rainbow. You know it would make an amazing kids book for kindergarten

technicolor-april day 7 - Ochre. Should I have taken this photo????
I went to see the ballet Rapunzel at the Playhouse in Oxford - naughty I know, but I couldn't resist a quick shot as the colours was perfect for today's colour,ochre. No flash and silent mode. A "point and pray" shot to be as discrete as possible!
@alia_801 Is it me or did the 10th change from orange to olive at some point? i printed off the list early and it's got orange! I did notice it cropped up twice....
@joannapayne Yes, it did change! Just after I posted it someone noticed that there were two oranges so I updated it. Silly colours that sound similar! Just swap olive and orange around and your calendar will still look pretty :) Sorry for the confusion!
@sassyinma funny, but on my computer, your mauve looks chocolate. But my cream looked white until I leached out the yellow from the lemon cake and the cobalt from the bowl, now it is very buttery
@pandorasecho Yes, I see that yours looks buttery! I see what you mean by chocolate. This computer I'm not now shows it as almost a dusky purple. Funny how all computers are so different!
I'm playing catch up after my computer "died" ten days ago. I went on a Colour Expedition the previous weekend and those shots are marooned on my old hard drive. Anyway this is what I have.

@tinac1 Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! There are always plenty of challenges floating around the discussions, or you can make up your own if you get stuck for ideas! I'll be back with another one in June (if I think of something challenge worthy!)
