Shinkansen

Bullet trains are fast. Really fast. So fast that it's almost impossible to get one in shot unless a) your camera can go really fast or b) the train is stationary or slowing down for the station. This one is coming in to the station (you can see the silver platform 'doors' that stop people running for trains - or getting swept away by very fast trains passing by!).

@catsmeowb I think they mostly have them in Japan - they have to have very straight tracks to be able to go so fast, I think.
@prttblues Not as exciting as you'd expect! The only time we noticed how fast we were going was when we passed another train going in the opposite direction - there'd be a 'whoooomp' as it zipped past (all 16 cars of it) and then it would be gone...

That's a scary thought! But it must be amazing to ride on one- even though boarding might be a bit precarious!
