This morning's trip through the village where Other Half's parents live took us over the canal. It was drizzling and grey, but the canal boats added some colour.
Sorry about the drizzle but I think the picture came out really well! I'm sorry to have missed so many of your pictures- a quick trip to Vermont to close up Dad's estate has put me way behind!
I love to see narrow boats, some of them are so colourful with pots of flowers on them! I had a couple of boat holidays years ago, it was good fun! Great photo.
Beautiful capture and very memorable for me. When my son was in Newcastle-under-Lyme he lived just across the road to the canal. I had many lovely walks along that canal. Used to enjoy watching those narrow boats sailing by.
@nataliemac I've ridden narrowboats during the daytime, but haven't been on one for longer than a few hours. I'm planning a narrowboat holiday for some time in the future though :) @sangwann I lived near Newcastle when I was at uni, but I don't think we went along the canals very much.
