Really? by allie912

Really?

Why the traffic engineers wasted valuable resources stating the obvious is beyond me. You certainly didn't need a sign to know the traffic was heavy, and due to the congestion, the average speed (when the cars were moving) was about 40 mph so there was no chance of speeding recklessly. At least we didn't have the storms of the Midwest. As it was, it took us about two and a half hours longer than it usually does. Everybody wants to be home for the holidays.
Typical warning!

Oh boy, we faired out pretty well going to Outer Banks in September, but even then we had a few tie ups. Nothing like this though. I love flying

ahh but allison, you being a librarian, should know that there is never anything wrong with having too much information available at our fingertips ...or fingers of the steering wheel :)

Those electronic warnings go up at the first sign of congestion, so I wonder if when it was first posted the traffic was a ways off and unseen. It's frustrating whether or not you can see it when it slows down the progress of your trip!
