Urban Church

John and I went on a scavenger hunt this morning, looking for street art. We paused at this dignified church situated between Virginia Commonwealth University, historic Hollywood Cemetery, the interstate highway, and all the sights and sounds of the city.

I saw the red front doors and thought, hmm, the St. Andrew's in our town has red doors too. Why? According to the article I googled, red doors are to indicate a place of sanctuary. Interesting! Cool photos there, Allison! (Did you know that about the red doors?!) ;)

Ahh I recognized this! Nice area to cruise!! We loved to ride out River road cross the river at 522 and come back up robius nice scenic route!!

@juliedduncan I didn't know that about red doors. In fact when I think of red doors, I think of Elizabeth Arden's beauty spas which always had a red door!
