My son and his family and in-laws went on their annual scalloping excursion to the little Gulf Coast town of Steinhatchee on August 20. Now just a little over a week later, Steinhatchee takes a major hit from Hurricane Idalia. Max and his family were back in Gainesville with strong winds and just a few hours without power.
