Susan came to me yesterday with some sad news. She found a little sparrow dead at the bottom of the fence. There were no signs of illness or injury. Susan found a spot to bury him and we placed Francis of Assisi, lover of all animals over his grave to watch over him. A reminder that death is part of life.
