The purpose of this device is printed on the front. Originally it was used to sort the check out cards in the back of the books. Since computers made those cards unnecessary, we found a new use: when it is time to reorganize student library cards for the next year, it is the perfect tool for the job. No bells or whistles, but straight forward efficiency.
