In the Sculpture Garden at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, we were treated to the spectacular Japanese tradition of taiko drumming, which dates back to the 6th century. It was presented by the River City Taiko Drummers who combined dancing with their drumming and used this performance to educate the audience.
