Work held a Eid party today - with the usual type of activities you'd find at one of these events... bouncy castle, face painters, balloon artist, various other games and of course.. Bollywood dancers..
The young girl was part of a group of five who performed a number of routines.. Not sure who the lad is..
Took plenty of pics with the 50mm, but on looking back, at least 50% were of kids with painted faces!
Islam seems to have the right idea here. Have the major celebratory festival in the middle of summer so it can be enjoyed outside and in the lovely sunshine.
Our (broadly christian and UK) have it in the middle of winter though those in the southern hemisphere have also got it right.

@davidgnc Cheers David.. Well, Ramadan is only in the summer at the moment.. It moves forward each year by about 10-12 days.. So for the next dozen or so years it'll be in summer but will eventually take place n winter..
