@arnica17 No. The problem here is that you are focusing on the object. You need to focus on the water drops. You might want to increase the distance between the glass and the object. In my example, the glass was about 1 foot above the letter tiles.
You can certainly do this without a macro lens. You might just need to crop the result to get the desired effect. I didn't notice at first that you were using a phone camera. You might not have the control over the focal plane and depth of field that you need to focus on the drops.
I also don't have rain repellant or macro lens..
