Overseeing the gallops by barrowlane

Overseeing the gallops

Went on a racehorse stable visit today. On the gallops I took up a position on a hill top just away from the track where the horses would exercised. On this hilltop was a circle of stones and in the middle of this circle is the grave of the former land owner and race horse trainer. On the stones was this bird. It didn't fly away just moved arround the stones. If there is such a thing it was as though the spirit of the man buried here was channeling the bird to keep an eye on the horses as the galloped up the hill and oversee his estate. I don't know what bird it is so if anyone knows please tell me.
fascinating story. It might be meadow pipit - but then it might not! I use the rspb's online bird identifier
