I went to a drive in garden party last week and as there were limited numbers I thought it would be a good opportunity to have a go at concert photography. Didn't go down well with security unfortunately so I was limited to the number of photographs I managed to get which was a shame. Seems that its OK for people to broadcast live over Facebook with phones but not OK to take stills with a camera.
I was stopped twice and questioned when taking pictures with my camera of my own family members at a waterpark, although people all around me were taken photos and videos with cell phones. They apologized after I explained that they were photos of my own daughter and grandson for my own personal use, while saying, "Oh, we questioned your purpose for taking photographs because most people just use their cell phones and we don't see many "professional cameras" being used."
