This air regulator may not look like much, but it's the end result of a project that took way to many trips to various hardware stores.
I just wanted to run an air line from the air compressor in my detached garage to a regulator in my basement workshop, so I can use air powered tools. Sounds easy enough.
I didn't want to (and in the winter, I really can't) bury a pipe between the garage and the house, so my plan was to put put quick-disconnect air fitting on the outside of the garage, and the back of the house, so I can just hook up one hose between the 2 points when I want to use air tools.
Setting this up involves plumbing, and plumbing always takes more time and trips to the hardware store for fittings than you expected.
I thought I had planned everything out sufficiently in advance and had everything I needed... Until I actually started drilling holes in walls to hook stuff up. Then you find out the problems with your plan and go to 2 different hardware stores to find new fittings to solve your problems.
Oh well, at least it's all done, tested, working, and not hissing with air leaks.
Classic! These jobs always turn out more complex than you think they will. Grey Man had better climb off there before you turn the thing on though.......
