Reservoir Panorama

A simple 3 photo panorama taken at my local reservoir yesterday. I stitched my panorama together in Lightroom, but I'm pretty sure the little Panasonic point-and-shoot I take on bike rides will do the panorama in camera. I should probably learn and use my camera's features....

lovely pano - and yes your Panasonic may well do panoramas, but you'll probably find it's tiny with no details.

I have no idea if my camera does panos. Will have to look! I am always impressed at stitches - I have no idea how to do them and don't have lightroom, but they always look superb.

@casablanca - Lightroom does them for you automatically. You select your photos, and pick "Panorama" from a menu.

If you want free software to do them, Microsoft has a free program called ICE, which stands for Image Composite Editor. You just throw it a bunch of photos and it figures out how they go together. It does a good job of it. A google search for "Microsoft ICE" should find it.

I don't do anything special when I'm taking photos for a panorama, I just kind of line up a couple of photos by eye, and the software figures it out.

I think you did a Stirling job here. The pano on camera I find is not all that good, lighting changes etc. You did a far better effect here
