Love the symmetry of this shot. The processing looks fine to me. I usually take the shot in colour and then convert to b&w and adjust the sliders of the individual colours until it feels right.
@bella_ss You can lighten the white by going to image/adjustments/curves in photoshop and clicking the mouse on the centre of the line and lifting it up until the lightness increases, if it takes away the contrast you can put a bit of an 's' curve on the line by dragging the bottom half of the line down a bit. Just play with it and the whites will lighten.
@onewing Thanks Babs, it actually looked fine in LR but darker once loaded here. Sometimes this site doesn't seem to reproduce quite as well as LR and PS.
Processing skills are really like any other skills you have acquired. They improve with practice. I admire your ability to stay with one thing for a month. Nice shapes here.
@888rachel Thanks Rachel, it's hard with old buildings because nothing is straight. I went for the horizontal louvres being straight but the sides of the window aren't straight.
