Bird Colony

Spotted these under a pier at the seaside. Not sure what type of birds they are. Any ideas?

Not sure... but it is a wonderful shot.... do you have Sandpipers... kinda looks like them

Brilliant capture, I think they are Ruddy Turnstones, Arenaria interpres. Sandpipers have black legs and feet. But they are related!
