263 - Wandering the streets

Sadly although the enclosure at Fuengirola Zoo looked large and interesting, the poor Sumatran tiger looked stressed as it endlessly walked up and down its enclosure.

Oh, so sad to read the commentary -- otherwise, it looks like this tiger has wandered into a UNESCO site!

The enclosure looks as though the tiger is wandering through the wild. It is sad to see them pacing! Taronga Zoo in Sydney has a new tiger enclosure coming. I am not sure whether it is to house the tigers they already have or whether it's to house new ones. In 2011 4 Sumatran tigers were born in the zoo. The Sumatran tiger is an endangered species so I am quite happy with the conservation programme here at our zoo. It would be great to see them in their natural habitat though.
