The main problem with cows where I live is sometimes you forget that they roam the forests. I've been startled by more cows than coyotes and bears while tent camping in Arizona!
@beryl I think it's deceptive because they are lying down. I never saw what I would call a well fed cow. Many of them depend on people feeding them in an ad hoc manner, rather than grazing.
