Which do you prefer: Sarlat or Les Eyzies, now that you have been to both?

@blueberry1222 Sarlat wins easily. A much more interesting town with lots of alleys to explore. As it was out of season when I was there, Les Eyzies was very quite, I never did get to see the museum, on the first occasion it closed for a long lunch. I was then going to stop when travelling to my next destination, but took the wrong turning and it was a long way before I could have turned back in the campervan. There is a good change I will be back in the spring.

@bob65 I want to go back and visit Sarlat, as I did not have time to both Sarlat and Les Eyzies. I enjoyed the location of Les Eyzies...we rented a kayak and went down the river and visit a few sights that way. We also go to go to Font-de-Gaume....I booked tickets months in advance. If you have a chance, that cave is every bit worth a visit.
