Tea for one

Today I had a nice little photoshoot with my teapot..
Decided to have a play with ideas for the Jackie Rankin Artist challenge this week.
Not sure this will be my finished product (have a few others) but got my inspiration from her Kitchen Stories. Actually I really liked many of her other images - but this is the one that had more possibilities given my limited-ish editing resources. I'm not 100% sure how to minimise the reflections.. perhaps a polarising lens would help?
Nice little composition Brig, :)

I like the composition. On that surface I don't think a polarizing lens will help as the metal is almost like a mirror. About the only thing you can do with a reflection on this type of surface is change your POV or change what it is being reflected.

Great set up Brigette! You could create a shadow so it doesn't shine...like Steve said...different POV...fab set up and job!

Fabulous comp; I like the reflections but it is frustrating if that is not what you wanted

@bassflyer65 @nanderson @claireuk thanks for that feedback.. the problem with changing your POV is that you are still in the reflection!!! I guess unless you had a longer zoom perhaps.. Maybe i'll give up on teapots!!

@nanderson ... hmm create a shadow.. i'll have to work on that.. not quite sure how to execute that.. but practice practice practice!!

Try putting an umbrella over the top to create a shadow and change your angle. I like the concept for the shot
