This group of retired men sit at this table every day and discuss old times, new times, and everything in between. I got out of my comfort zone and shot this with a 90mm lens that is sublime. For my upcoming trip, I'm going simple with 28mm, 50mm, 90mm lenses that interchange between film and digital bodies. It's always a chore to choose the travel kit, but in the past I bring too much. Less is more this time.
@kali66 I can fit both bodies in a tiny bag with the 28 on one and the 50 on the other. I asked Raj, my friend, and this is what he suggested so I am gonna follow his advice. The 28 and 50 are very small. The 90 is a bit of a bear, but with it I can get candids on the sly (like this). Some would call it snobbery, but to me there is nothing like the rendering of a Leica lens. It is not about razor sharpness, and I like that. I think the focus is off just a hair, the eyes are not quite there, but the shot retains character. I used live view to take it. The gentleman is a local artist.
