V Is For - Very Old Ancestor

After re-visiting Lydbrook to see my great, great grandparents, we popped up the hill to see my oldest known descendent in English Bicknor, my 6 x Great Granddad who died in 1729.
This was the first time that my Father and I had seen this grave and which is the second nearest to you in this shot.

Simple yet beautiful architecture. I gather the church would originally date back to the 1700s or earlier.

I have just looked this up Sally and the Grade 1 listed church was built in the 1100's
