""You could be in for an unusual sight just after sunset Friday and Saturday, as long as the weather cooperates.
Venus, Mars and the crescent moon will appear close to each other in the west-southwestern sky after sunset for about an hour Friday. On Saturday, the two planets will be even closer together with the moon above them.
Venus will be the brightest planet. Mars will be fainter and slightly above Venus. The planets will be about a degree apart, or roughly the width of a thumb on Friday and closer Saturday.""

@golder365mjsmith I'm hoping for clear sky tonight so I can get a clearer picture. Even with the camera on a tripod, I didn't use my cable release (or whatever it is called in the digital age), so there is unwanted camera movement. I have three of four sites that I can get a clear shot, just a matter of how far I want to drive, that is if I miss my timing to see the moon thru the tree at home.
In spite of the small camera movement this is really a great shot of the 3 heavenly bodies. I especially like that we an see the whole moon even though it is a crescent.
