Unfriendly Critter

Okay, that makes two visits in a row that I ran across one of these guys.

Not sure what it is but it doesn't look good to me.

@ladymagpie A scorpion, about an inch long, moves fast and like to hid under rocks, until you disturb them. It was in the area I was digging in, looking for petrified wood. Originally, I thought it was a bug who's tunnel I had disturbed, until it took off downhill, toward my feet.
