We are dog sitting at our house for the week. Remington, or Remmy as we call him, is the dog of my fiance's friend. I think he's two? And he is sweet, but just like a two year old toddler, hahaha.
Always following me around, underfoot when I'm in the kitchen, and super needy, constantly wanting attention. He doesn't sleep through the night either. Today I found out he is NOT a fan of thunderstorms.
He doesn't sit still for but a second, so my youngest daugter asked, oh my gosh, how did you get him to sit still for a picture?!?
(just lucky I guess).
My fiance Dean had a beautiful golden retriever name Shiloh, who we had to say goodbye to over the winter. She was 17 and very mellow.
thanks so much. He's only been here for 4 days so far .... Our cat has been hiding downstairs in the laundry room since he got here. They do not get along. So while it's nice to have a dog around, we miss our kitty. lol
Very sweet! Maybe Remmy is feeling unsure because you are dog sitting and he misses his companion?!? Remmy does look worried. Dogs do not like thunderstorms or fireworks either! Nice portrait!
She is looking very inquisitive. We have had to say goodbyes over the years and it never gets any easier! Top tip for nighttime - leave a radio on nearby and some of your worn clothes at the foot of the door. The dog dan smell you and also thinks the radio is people talking nearby. The dog then does not think it has to protect you and will settle as it is not in charge. :)
